Description

Rectangular structure with front outjutting panel. 31 switches, 30 buttons on panel with paper directory (141 departments). Circular dial on right side with 304 area code. 30 slots with wires, most connected to upper vertical panel with connector slots, labels. Electrical elements hidden behind panels in rest of "box." Reddish brown wood very likely cherry veneer. Telephone switchboard c. 1949 West Electric. Used by donor's mother at a department store in Wheeling, WV.
