“Kanawha” Sugar Bowl

Description

It is nickel plated with two handles, one on either side of the bowl. The handles are in half-heart shapes and there is detailed edging around the top. It has a flat bottom with rounded sides that form into a more straight top half. It has a cauldron appearance with a partially elongated neck. It was recovered from the wreckage of the steamboat "Kanawha" which hit the dam at Lock 19 near Little Hocking in 1916.
