Description

Wood working tool. Wood carved eye at one end, used to straighten the edges of boards. Wooden eye nailed into place. "Jointer" penciled on the side. Excelsior jointer to file cross cut saw -from farm of George W. Smith. Iron tool used to sharpen saw blades. 6-1/2" long. All metal with 2 upper bars connected to a center base to form a window like profile. This jointer was used to set the cutting teeth of the saw the same height. Center bar has screw down through the middle to tighten. Has Excelior No. 5 on back of tool. ALO L.C. Atkins & Co. with Madein U>S>A>
