Blue-grey West Point uniform overcoat, parade uniform overcoat with the shawl that fits over the long jacket. Overcoats typically worn for parades and over full dress uniform. Jacket is double breasted with Navy piping on the sleeves. Shawl has one button missing. Shawl had wide lapels. Rank insignia on both sleeves.
"Insignia on overcoats signify regimental supply officer, cadet captain. Stripes on lower sleeves indicate senior or first-class man. Castles on lower sleeve of dress grey represent US Army Corps of Engineers. My chosen branch. Seniors traditionally wear their selected branch during the second semester of senior year after branch assignments have been made. Although these uniforms date back only to the early 70s, there has been no significant change in the West Point uniform for over 100 years." - Joe Fields.Acquisition
