Description

Round solid brass field gun round shot - used in the M1841 6lb. field gun. It was a bronze muzzle loader that shot these 6lb. balls. no holes - no mold crease. Not solid something rattling inside. Note with item says "Civil War Cannonball" from the W.H. Fleming (Former Fitzhugh) Home. These guns were not produced after 1862. But Confederate army used them because they could not afford to produce new weapons.
