small dark brown bottle with gold screw on lid. Lid has 3 columns with text. Label on bottle says "poison" 1 oz "Chloroform squibb" "For Anesthesia" with marker. ER Squibb & Sons, New York - reg U.S. Post Office. chloroform played a major role in the Civil War. Used with ether as an anesthetic.
