copper clad cast iron cash register from WTW Paxton's General Store in Rockcastle, used between 1917 and 1950. may have migrated to a Ravenswood business later on, donor believes acquired at click's or harpold's estate sales. Has top piece that says "Amount Purchased" embossed in the metal. Has intricate design in copper all over. Has plate below copper coated keys that is milk glass. It was a ? design - it is copper oxidized model 226 register made by National Cash Register Co. in Dayton Ohio, US. They were called Candy Store Registers.
sold by M N Jacobs in pittsburg. made january 4 1909. an internal counter recorded 2,362 times the lid was opened.Acquisition
