Description

Aqua tinted medicine bottle with "J.J. Lawrence & Co." embossed on the side. With "Baltimore" embossed on the left side of the bottle. Label of contents say "Rosadalis" with dosage and directions on the label. Label was light color with red print. The bottle was made by a "key" mold seams cross the base of the bottle, which dates this bottle. 1850's-1870's. Rosadalis was advertised to "cure" a number of ailments including syphillis, skin diseases, liver disease, blood diseases. Bottle 1: 2020.01.370 Full intact label, partial cork stopper. Back label torn and edges brittle and paper is brown. (Good) Bottle 2: 2020.01.371 Glass good. Label torn and missing parts front and back. No stopper. Has swirl defect on left side of bottle. (Good) Bottle 3: 2020.01.372 Label is missing about 25% on front and same on the back. Front of bottle at the applied lip there is a bubble in the glass. Lip has grind marks. (Good) Bottle 4: 2020.01.373 This bottle has the full label on front though darkened and hard to read with a small hole at the bottom of the label. Back label is missing except for a few fragments. Glass has a defined line running along with the scam of the key mold. Noticeable flaw in glass. Has partial cork. (Good) Bottle 5: 2020.01.374 Bottle has flaw on right back shoulder running with the key mold seam. It has no label or stopper. (Good)
