Steam ship "The Sidney". It is docked(Not at Ravenswood). There are people standing on the locks holding umbrellas. There are 3 decks with a lot of people. The upper deck 7 American flags, a large bell, 2 smoke stacks, captain/ pilot cabin. Lower deck has a ticket stand. Upper deck also has lifeboats. "Ticket Stand Steamer Sidney buy tickets before going aboard finest dancing hall on the river. Music and dancing steamer fully equipped in every __?" One of the many ships built at murraysville in 1880 was ompleted in wheeling and named the sidney. The sternwheel packet was 221 feet by 35.5 feet by 5.5 feet. It ran the st louis line until 1921 and was then renamed the washington. It operated until 1937 and was dismantled in 1938
