Bell was rescued from the Grace Episcopal Church Fire of 1900. Church was located on the corner of Washington & Walnut Streets and was the first church in Ravenswood. It was established by Henrietta and Henry Fitzhugh who founded the town. Henrietta inherited the land from her Great, Great Uncle George Washington who surveyed the land in 1770. Says on yoke "J. L.
