"Our philosophy at The HUB is Be Kind. We teach and practice kindness to all. Our neurodiverse student body is using beads (from Mardi Gras' present and past), silk and plastic flowers, and making signs to Be Kind!
The group riding will be in Be Kind HUB t-shirts. Lots of tie-dye, too!
(We had a trailer that we can no longer use. The photos attached are of the trailer in 2022.We are using the same decorations- adding the BE KIND to it as described. Our vehicle is used daily, so we have reserved it the week before the parade to decorate it.)"
"The Art Car Parade has been a joy for our students to participate in for several years. This population is often under-served and ""not invited"" to be part of community events. The Orange Show's Art Car Parade has always embraced our participation and welcomed our neurodiverse students.
In years past, we had our band, The HUBCAPS, play. They have become so popular they have a gigs that weekend! So we are having our ""Girls Group"" ride this year!!
They are working hard to represent kindness and have fun!!"
