Our metropolitan region's miles of bayous and streams provide Houston's best connection to the marvels of nature. They offer us relief from our concrete environment and bring nature close to where we live. They offer recreation and beauty. They even help our economy. Without a doubt they deserve our attention. UP Art Studio's "No-Throwaways-in-our-Waterways" sponsored by Bayou Preservation Association and Gillman Subaru Southwest demonstrates just how important it is for us to keep trash and litter out these valuable resources. We all know that trash is ugly, but it also can be downright deadly to wildlife and even human beings if allowed to choke our watersheds. Think harmful bacteria! Think fish kills! Think flooding! Let's think Healthy Bayous instead! Join us by celebrating, protecting and restoring the richness of our area's waterways!
"UP Art Studio has been the artist for this car since its inception, and through several iterations. Noah has always been the pilot of this car. This car is now in our care full time. While our personal mission is Civic Pride through Civic Art, this car's mission also speaks to us as we care deeply about our waterways and environment.
I noted the car as a daily driver because it does run, but it is not our primary mode of transportation."
