I'm a long-time Houstonian, growing up when school kids went to NASA every year. As a space enthusiast and model maker, I've built space shuttles of numerous sizes. My first artcar, the ShuttleVan, traveled the country for five years, scores of parades and events and three space shuttle launches. Driving around Clear Lake with a space shuttle car has given me the opportunity to meet interesting people with fond memories of the connections to the space shuttle program in Houston.
