"Hearsicorn ('hearse-ah-corn') is a unicorn merged with a hearse. I have always had interest in the macabre and have always loved unicorns, so I merged the two together. I like to pull people out of their daily trance with a Hearsicorn sighting to give them a little mood boost. My inspiration is to motivate others to be find their creative selves and to illustrate being true to myself in hopes that others will be inspired as well. When Hearsicorn is out and about she loves to pull people into the present moment with her perplexing presence and enjoys the squeals and sounds of joy that emit from her beloved onlookers. Hearsicorn also has an MP3 horn that neighs, whinnies, and farts, and plays 'My Little Pony'.
I've logged over 200+ hours creating her with more upgrades on the horizon.
"I was just accepted as a Visionary Artist in Tulsa's inaugural Visionary group for 2023 with Liggett Studio. I am inspired to make art for mental health, and I don't feel complete unless I am creating something nearly every day. Instead of journalling about my day with words, I often draw my emotions in an abstract, sometimes surreal way. Hearsicorn was inspired by wanting to stay true to my quirky weird self and to show others that they can be themselves too, as long as it is done with joy and kindness. I get to express my interest in the macabre with the hearse aspect and I get to drive a giant unicorn, fulfilling my long-time guilty pleasure of loving unicorns. Hearsicorn plays a clip of the ""My Little Pony"" song on her MP3 horn, but she's really my 'big' pony.
