Created by the Northside panthers! We wanted to create a car that shows the excitement and beauty of swimming. The panthers understand swimming is a skill that a large portion of the population does not know how to do and we hope by creating this car people will find swimming approachable and be excited to learn. You will find QR codes around the car that allows adults 18 and over to sign up for free swim lessons in the month of April, which is adult learn to swim month. We want to give back to our community and teach adults how to swim. Panthers want everyone to feel comfortable in water and be safe in the water. Water you waiting for? This is art teacher, Anna Bass' 11th art car she has built with the students of Northside High School. Every year she gets excited to work with students and see what ideas they come up with. It’s fun to see them problem solve and become design experts. The parade is the best moment, because the kids can get all of the praise they deserve for their hard work. Art is such a fun part of the Houston community and she loves that the Northside HS students get to show their skills, ideas, and talent to the city.
