EHS students in the Horsepower Club rebuilt an old Chevy V8 engine and the kids in The Art Car Club put it into a 1968 Chevy C-10 pick up truck. The students designed inserts that turned the sides of the truck into castle walls as a nod to our mascot, The Knights.
EHS strives to give students a variety of activities to choose from and we started an engine building club after school as a mechanical engineering project last year. When the students were done with the project, they asked what we could use it for and we came up with building an Art Car as a great way to put their handiwork to use! The Art Car club is comprised of students from grades 9-12 and will hopefully be a yearly event from here on out!
