"Created with acrylic paint and found objects, Iggy is the embodiment of imagination. Starting and ending with the heart-shaped planet on the back, the viewer can take a wild trip through a land of giant flowers, and encounter loved characters from Where the Wild Things Are, The Little Shop of Horrors, Labyrinth, Narnia, Wonderland, Hogwarts, and more. As you make your way across the front of Iggy, the giant flowers transform into planets and the whole of space. Join the giant squid and Hitchhiking dolphins, the UFOs, and the Doctor and their TARDIS, as they adventure across the galaxy, befriending the Little Prince, on the way to a heart-shaped planet of Wild Things.

Laura McIntyre is a life-long mixed-media artist, veteran art teacher, and active daydreamer. What originally started as paint recall and an outlet to relieve stress during quarantine– her art car, Iggy the Imaginationmobile, became so much more. She loves fantasy, sci-fi, and whimsy, and is most inspired by artists that love color, think outside-the-box, and have fun with their artwork. She especially loves fauvism, and the art of Frida Kahlo, Barry Kite, David Hockney, and Bisa Butler. She cannot wait to see everyone’s magical art car creations, and to spend time seeing the wonders of Smither Park and the Orange Show.
