A Texas Department of Transportation retired fleet vehicle, Game of Cones is decorated with barrels, cones, safety vests, signs, barricades, signals, reflective sheeting, and other materials that are intended to warn the motoring public of construction zones and protect both the drivers as well as the workers making the necessary improvements to the State's roadways. This is TxDOT's second year to enter the parade and again we intended to bring awareness to our various construction and maintenance projects around the area and remind the motoring public that when you see the orange, silver, red, white, and yellow traffic control devices to please slow down use caution and know that we are working for you. Game of Cones - Construction is coming is a fun play off the popular book and television series, but as they had to contend with Winter coming, Houstonians will have to contend with Construction!
