Description

The Dragon Wagon is a 2009 Jeep Commander, repurposed by the Glitter Ritters for Art Car Fun! Created in celebration of our daughter’s first book “The Great Texas Dragon Race”, she roams the streets of Houston paying homage to the mythical creature that has been the center of countless yarns throughout the ages. May dragon lovers reign forever! Kim Ritter is a well-known Quilt Artist and has had many art quilts in the International Quilt Show here in Houston. She is the author of Quick Quilting. John is VP at an oil company. He has discovered that making an art car is a great way to relax and stop thinking about work. Their first art car was flooded during Hurricane Ike, along with their home in Clear Lake. The art car community embraced them when they moved to a small house in the Greater Heights and began their own version of Luckenbach, filled with art sculptures by their art car friends and the porcelain advertising signs they have collected in their 50 years together. They love all thing magical and mystical like dragons and unicorns.
