In 1990 I met a guy and he asked me out on a date. The evening of the date we had to go to a meeting of sorts. Everyone had a particular job but there was no one available to take notes. I was handed some paper and a pen and was asked to take notes. This was at the Marks' house. This is the first time I was introduced to the orange show art car steering committee. These were very important people! After that meeting I joined the steering committee for the orange show's parade and since 1990 art cars have been my significant hobby. That's 34 years! I was inspired to create my own art cars and collaborate with others on their art cars because this is very contagious. I'm a Houston native and moved to Colorado in 2018 for health reasons. I miss all my Houston people. I was the president of the Houston Art Car klub for 12 years, if memory serves. The art car, lifestyle and art cars became my way of life, my lifestyle. Oh, and that guy, his name is Bryan and he used to work at the orange show. I call him the George Bailey of Houston, Texas
