---- Parker students created a space themed car inspired by the astronaut, Shannon Walker, who was a student at Parker Elementary School.---- Last year, our neighborhood library reopened as the Shannon Walker Public Library. When Shannon Walker was in elementary school she attended Parker. We are inspired by her to work hard and dream big. Our Art Car is inspired by her trips to the International Space Station. We painted a galactic design around the truck and added plaster planets. Then we built a space shuttle with chicken wire, wood, and plaster to add to the top of the truck.
