***Description
---- "Jungle Wakes" is inspired by the tension between nature and human civilization, imagining a world where the city has been reclaimed by the wild. This concept draws from psychedelic art, street art, and environmental themes, blending surrealism with vivid, neon-like organic patterns. It channels the visual chaos of an overgrown metropolis where towering buildings become trees, roads dissolve into vines, and creatures of the jungle roam freely in once-bustling streets.
This art car is meant to embody a sense of transformation and rebellion —an entity caught between two worlds, moving with the primal energy of nature reclaiming its place in an artificial landscape.---- DUAL is a Houston-based artist driven by an urge to create and transform public space. His work is part of his ongoing city beautification mission, using murals, and immersive experiences to bring art into everyday life. Every piece is a chance to add color, energy, and storytelling to the streets he grew up in, and it allows art to be more accessible to everyone.
Creating an art car felt like a natural extension of that mission. Instead of a stationary mural, this project turns movement into part of the artwork, bringing the spirit of his mission to the road.
For Art Car Week, DUAL is most excited about seeing how other artists push their styles, and transform their canvas in unexpected ways. It would be an honor to be part of a long-lasting Houston tradition and connect with the community that helps keep it alive.
