Artcar - 2nd - 2023---- Sue Shefman's love of hippos is the inspiration for her daily driver car. Cheerio is the name of the auto-potamus with baby roof riders on the top: Aloha in the front and Shalom in the back. All three names together mean "Hello, Goodbye and Peace" - which Sue would like to have in the world! Cheerio, who has been in the Art Car Parade since 2007, is Sue's favorite hippo in her collection of 2000!---- Hippos inspired my art car obviously. I am part of a group called The Hippolotofus because there are a lot of us who collect hippos! Around 2000 world wide. We have a convention every year, visiting zoos throughout the US and getting private, behind the scenes tours. I was on the Weird Homes Tour 4 years in a row when it was in Houston before it closed because of Covid. Main Street Drag is my favorite event of Art Car Week. And then the Parade of course.
