new this year---- I’m a blacksmith and metal sculptor with an undeniable passion for art cars. I have an immense love for the Orange Show and the joy of this parade. Growing up, my mother watched as I transformed my bicycles, decorating them with creativity and care. She used to tell me I couldn’t do the same to cars, worried I’d start taking parts off hers like I did with her bike. Fast forward 12 years, and the Houston Art Car Parade was born. I’ve never looked back. Thankfully, my mom came around and now enjoys many parades. I now see it as not just being given the freedom to create in this unique way, but also as encouragement to push my art even further in a way I can’t in art shows or galleries.
