Page 3 in the family bible gives this life-summary for Seneca, the second son of Seneca and Mary Elizabeth Hughes. He was born on 23 December 1842. Five days later, on 28 December, he was hurriedly christened due to his decline in health. He died that same day. He was buried on 31 December at Saint Paul, Covent Garden.
