Page 6 in the family bible gives this life-summary for Fanny, born 22 December 1849, the second daughter of Seneca and Mary Elizabeth Hughes. In October 1872, aged 22, she married Augustus Fossett Hughes. Their second son Seneca was Kathleen's admired "Cousin Jack".
Fanny is sometimes called Frances on Humphrey's genealogical charts.
She died aged 49 in 1899-1900. A space has been left for the details but was never filled in.
