Name/Title
1879/Vaughan: Frances, wife of John Lingard VaughanDescription
Frances Hughes married John Lingard Vaughan in 1843. Sometime after she was widowed in 1887, she moved to a house called Hanover on Bedford Hill, Balham, presumably to be near her married daughter Rose Edith, the mother of Kathleen and Humphrey. She appears in Kathleen's memoirs, as do her two unmarried daughters who lived with her, Mary Louisa and Annette Eleanor, whose family nicknames were Ba-Ba and Auntie Fly.
