Description
Dorothy, the first child of Francis and Rose Edith, was born on 21 November 1881. Here, she is aged 9 months ("Taken Aug 25th 1882" is recorded on the back of the photograph). She was a very beautiful child, as indeed were all the Hughes siblings.
