Name/Title
1917/Urch: Leonard and Kathleen's WeddingDescription
6 June 1917, the wedding of Kathleen Hughes and Leonard Urch.
L-R: Ethel, known as Biffles (Leonard's sister), Pet (Leonard's mother), Leonard, Kathleen, Leonard's older brother Frank, Francis Hughes (Kathleen's father).
Kathleen and Leonard were married at St John''s, Balham; Kathleen writes that "it was from the Vicarage there that I was married". Although the Vicar was "a very great friend", it is possible that Leonard and Kathleen were married by Humphrey, Kathleen's older brother, who was for a time Assistant Priest at St John's.
