Leonard Urch died in the Spanish Influenza epidemic of 1918, on 1 November. This article speaks of the successive waves of the epidemic, the second one which claimed Leonard's life commencing at the beginning of October 1918 and lasting to the middle of December 1918.
Reprint in The Times newspaper of an article from 14 March 1919. The date was 14 March 1986, so this reprinted article was not seen by Kathleen, who had died six years earlier.
