This postcard of 28 June 1928 from Karen Heskett to her mother Charlotte Jensen is the only archival piece which links them. It survived the mass destruction of all things Jensen because of the photograph on the front - it must have been given to Marion at some point, she being the baby pictured (shown with her father Ted Heskett at the age of 10 months).
It is perhaps odd that the postcard is not signed. The estrangement between the Jensens and the Hesketts had begun in 1926 when Karen had married Ted. Charlotte did not see her grandchild Marion for some years.
The second photograph is of Marion taken at the same holiday at Margate, Kent.
