22 Minories, Aldgate, the premises of Andrew Chalmers in London, was destroyed early in the London Blitz, on the night of 9 September 1940. Two staff had remained at the office in London, whom RJ names as Miss Gundry and Mr Hinds; clearly, neither of them were there on the night of the bombing, otherwise this would have been mentioned by RJ Mack. This is a photograph of Miss Gundry, "Maggie", which was printed in RJ Mack's history of Andrew Chalmers in 1950.
