Mashonaland Tobacco Company was founded in 1935; it was at Salisbury in Rhodesia. Part of the Andrew Chalmers group of companies.
This photograph has no date on it. Guessed as being 1948.
In RJ Mack's book on Andrew Chalmers he writes: "In 1935 Andrew Chalmers and Company, jointly with K. Kileff, founded Mashonaland Tobacco Company in Southern Rhodesia. That Company soon began to prove its worth and during the war years it was the Rhodesian and Nyasaland business plus a small amount of Canadian and Indian that kept the Trade alive. There is still not the freedom that there should be in handling any of these tobaccos but they have proved their value to the Company in many markets."
