A new subsidiary to Andrew Chalmers was created around 1964, called "Corparacion Nacional de Tabaco C por A". It was based at San Domingo, Dominican Republic.

"I have seen a scorpion taken out of my bed a few days after I departed from the Dominican Republic, and also the giant tarantula spiders which inhabited the bathroom the week before I arrived."
The dead scorpion was sent to Peter and Marion's house in an envelope, a tiny whitish monster, squashed flat.
