Name/Title
1964/Mack:The Cottage from the frontDescription
The front of The Cottage, 28 Watford Road, Radlett. Seemingly taken at the same time as the professional photographs of the family. The move to Longridge was in that same summer - according to JMG notes, it was July 1964.
This very large house was bought by Andrew Chalmers, the family firm, and lived in by the Mack family presumably rent-free. This was not an unusual situation; for example, the restoration of Little Sutmers, the house in which Kathleen Mack lived during her widowhood, was financed by the company, who also owned the property.
