Rhodesian UDI (Unilateral Declarations of Independence) was declared on 11 November 1965.
"Rhodesian Commentary", a fortnightly 8-page newssheet, must have begun around January 1966 as this is Vol 1. no 13, 11 July 1966.
"Rhodesian Commentary" was a round-up of news about the situation in the country, published by the Rhodesian Ministry of Information, Immigration and Tourism.
Amusingly, given current (2026) British popular animos against the BBC, on its last page the paper refers to the BBC as "one of the most powerful propaganda machines in the world". Its reporting, the newssheet says, is casting Rhodesians as either "frightened little men, as ogres, [... or as] a shrivelled cringing people seeking peace of a benign and forgiving motherland".
