1994/Mack: Peter Mack obituaryDescription
Photocopy of obituary of Peter Mack, in the Standard Commercial Tobacco magazine "Standard Bearer". Date unknown but likely to have been August 1994 due to the reference to the floods at Albany, Georgia, USA, which occurred that July.
Peter had joined Standard Commercial Tobacco in April 1979 when Andrew Chalmers had been bought up by that Group. He was sacked from his managerial position within two years, although the article phrases it as him taking retirement.
The details of his time in the RAF were supplied by his sister, Daphne - in all good faith - however, they contain serious untruths.
