2001/McAllen: "Clematis"Description
In the back of her book "Clematis: Plant Portraits of Species and Selected Cultivars", the brief biographical details tell us that Monica began to study botanical art in 1992 after her retirement as a Consultant Physician, her botanical paintings being the culmination of a life time's interest in "painting, botany and gardening". It is also noted that her work has been shown and sold widely, and that the Royal Horticultural Society and the Chelsea Physic Garden have both acquired examples.
