1963/Jensen: Later years, North Heale, the kitchen range
Description
This photograph was taken through the window of the farmhouse in 2008, but little has changed since the 1960s as the old range is still in place. During Bill and Vinnie's time, it heated water for a tin bath placed in front of it at bath times. The water had been drawn from the well - there was no piped water. Nor was there any electricity and light at night was provided by tilly lamps.
