1893 – E TRIANGLE CARD $1 BANK: OFFERINGS TO PRESBYTERIAN SABBATH SCHOOL MISSIONARIES This is an original triangular shaped card savings bank. Word captions on the card state: “For Christ and Native Land. In six years have gathered 5,800 new Sabbath Schools. 24,000 teachers and 230,000 scholars. To the children: to open the pyramid, turn it upside down. Spread the points and blow in the hole in the base. To close it press in the base. Keep the tally by marking the figures and see how fast the amount will grow.” Savings expected between $1 and $3 on one side and $4 and $6 on the other side. “This work wins the children, wins parents, disarms opposition, seeks the lost.
