This was a revision of the “Great” Bible version undertaken by Matthew Parker, the Archbishop of Canterbury. In April 1571, the convocation of the Province of Canterbury ordered that copies of this edition be placed in every cathedral, and in every church. Every ecclesiastical dignitary was to display a copy of this edition in a prominent place in his house for use by servants and guests. The folio measures 10 ½ inches by 15 ½ inches.
