This is an original triangular shaped card savings bank. Word captions on the card state:
“Thou shalt open thy hand wide unto thy brother. America for Christ. Proclaim liberty. Throughout all the land, unto all the inhabitants thereof. 9,000,000 children to be gathered into Sabbath Schools. ‘Thrust in thy sickle and reap, for the time has come for thee to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.’ To the poor and to thy needy in thy land. Freely ye have received, freely give. For the saving of our country. Money for Children’s Day, June 11, 1893. Let’s seize the sickle quickly, and gather the harvest in; let’s save our own loved country from the slavery of sin. God loveth a cheerful giver. Produced by E.W.
