Round gold-colored compact in a square box. Top of compact is raised u-shaped floral design. Top and bottom are scratched and have a black substance adhered in spots. Inside is a round attached powder puff. Compact is marked "Made in U.S.A." Box is marked "Mary Baynes Gifts, Arlington, Washington" and has an additional inscription "McKnew gave to mother when leaving Camp Stuart when Gladys & I visited him."
