Description

White chamber pot with floral pastel design, has been in pieces and has been cemented together. Marked "Columbian China." Excavated from privy ca. 1975. Chamber pots have been around since ancient civilizations before indoor plumbing. Most common materials were tin, ceramic, earthenware, etc. The flush toilet became more widespread in 1851, but chamber pots were still prevelant for years after.
