Description

Sauce tureen. Kaolin ware, Mandarin pattern. Brown lustre and grey with central circular reserve of a Chinese scene. The border is decorated with scrolls, pseudo Chinese motifs, and flowers. English, made by the Staffordshire firm of Thomas Dimmock & Co. c. 1828-59. Part of a 49-piece set used in the Lee-Fendall House from 1903-1904.
