Description

Pianoforte. A fine and rare late 18th century mahogany and satinwood signed pianoforte by John Broadwood and Son, London 1785-1808. This rare instrument, in working order, retains its original ivory and ebony keyboard and its constructed of faded mahogany and has boxwood stringing. The case stands on four square tapering legs supported on original brass castors. John Broadwood was the Royal pianoforte maker to George III and was the finest maker of his time. Sold at auction.
