Technology continued to influence fashion, especially the speed at which communication of styles was happening and the growing online retail market. At the beginning of the 2000’s fast fashion (cheap, disposable fashion) prevailed; however, as the period progressed the idea of sustainable fashion began to emerge. Fashion changed from prominent styles to individuals having a personal style with clothing as the components to create that style.
