Cover addressed to "Carl Floege Esq / New Braunfels / Tex" and postmarked "GALVESTON / APR 6 / TEX."

Context

Merchant Carl Floege built the fifth New Braunfels bridge, a low-water crossing in 1872 that lasted until 1894. No address required because Carl Floege lived in the Klein House, one of the oldest buildings in New Braunfels. Built in 1846 by Stephen Klein, one of first Comal County Commissioners; with "fachwerk" construction.
