William was the son of Texas Ranger and Confederate veteran Riley Dennis Richardson. Riley Dennis Richardson had been a member of the 1860 band of Texas Rangers who had liberated Cynthia Ann Parker and whose family's land in Jack County had been confiscated by Union troops for the construction of Fort Richardson.Category
