The Galveston Scottish Rite building was founded in 1867 and is the oldest Scottish Rite body in the State of Texas. St. Mary’s Cathedral was founded in 1870. All of the buildings in this photograph were destroyed by the 1900 storm. This view is nearly identical to Philip Rose's stereoview.Category
